Manal Alalem

Manal Alalem brought one of the region's best-known cooking brands onto the living-room screen. The app gives viewers more than 2,500 recipes and over 1,500 step-by-step videos covering Arab and Western cuisine, savoury and sweet, all navigable with nothing but a TV remote.

Samsung listed it as a Recommended App and pre-installed it on new Smart TV units across the Middle East, where it became one of the top ten apps in the region. At its peak the app served over 300,000 users in 19 countries.

The engagement covered the full stack: a ten-foot interface designed for D-pad navigation, a video and recipe content pipeline the client's own editors could run, and the backend APIs feeding it.
